The IRS announced that, as of July 1, 2008, Standard Mileage Rate (SMR) for deducting business use of your personal vehicle, increased by 8-cents per mile. The NEW RATE is 58.5¢ per mile as of July 1.

That's what a "soul niche" is all about.

That's why I wrote the do-it-yourself Mission Quest called "Living Your Real Life - Guided By Your Soul's Purpose." So we'd be starting with our feet on the path of our highest good, offering a service that makes a difference in people's lives.

It's also why I wrote the e-book for holistic, self-help and inspirational authors called "Make a Big Splash Selling Your Books on Amazon." We are offering a service, but we are not meant to starve while doing so.

As I became clearer about my own soul's purpose, I realized that the Divine design of my own life and business has been - at least since the mid 1990's - all about helping soul-guided entrepreneurs shine their light more brightly in the world.

We have come to Earth for a purpose. Most of us are fulfilling this purpose to one degree or another.

But the tipping point needs to be reached, where humanity wakes up to the idea that Divine essence exists within ALL life - and for this message to be visible - we need to be more visible.

Imagine a Million Micro-Celebrity Points of Light...

In The Science of Getting Rich, Wallace Wattles declares, "The very best thing you can do for the whole world is to make the most of yourself... all men and women are attracted to an individual who can give them more of the means of life."

This means continuously advancing ourselves in body, mind and spirit, as well as continuously upgrading our business skills and knowledge. As Wattles said, if success is our aim, we must always be advancing beyond our current situation.

I realize that lightworkers and soul-guided entrepreneurs are often so involved in doing their work that they don't have the time or the inclination to keep up with new marketing technologies... especially when these technologies sprout up so frequently via the medium of the Internet.

Here's How MY Mission Helps You Fulfill Yours

One of the things I'm quite good at is translating marketing-speak into plain language. I've been doing this in my newsletter "Messages from the Soapbox" since 2001.

I can also take fairly complicated information and condense it into easy-to-follow lessons that right-brain and intuitive people can work with. That's what I'm doing with Web 2.0 interactive communication technologies - making them accessible to folks who don't want to learn all the details - they just want to make it work. Web 2.0 is so very representative of "Aquarian Age" technology, when you think about it.

I believe we need to get more serious (in a fun way) about getting better known. I call this becoming a "micro-celebrity" in your field. We don't all need to be like Wayne Dyer or Joe Vitale. But we DO need to be visible enough for people to find us.

That's why "soul niche" is a helpful concept - to figure out the unique contribution you came here to make - and then market your products and services consistently, to the right audience.

We don't have to spend a fortune to do this either, because the Internet has made it easy and inexpensive. Well, it's easy if you know what to do.

And that's my plan - to offer you the knowledge and tools you need to create micro-celebrity "buzz" through an array of "alternative" media that are just sitting there, waiting for us to jump in. I've started a new Web 2.0 Alternative Media section on this site so we have a place to "learn the ropes" of gaining publicity for our soul-guided business.
