~ Simplify (Stop and Smell the Pine Boughs) ~

This holiday season, I hope you are able to stop and "smell the pine boughs." Quite often the preparations for holidays are all time-and-energy consuming - and when we get to the "big day," we're too exhausted to enjoy it.

A few years ago, I started buying "theme" gifts for Christmas giving and this removed a lot of stress from me and, for the most part, I think my recipients have liked their themed gifts as well. One year was candles, another was books, last year was writing instruments. Each person's gift was chosen based on their individuality... but it was one-stop (my kind of) shopping.

My life and business theme for 2008 is "simplify," so I've already got a head start.

For most of us, the December holidays are a time of spiritual reflection - and a celebration of our connection with the Divine.

~ The Coolest Holiday Gift for Teens and Preteens ~

When my son was still a teenager, I reserved his name as a URL... figuring some day he'd be able to use it, either for business or for fun.

I knew if I waited until he wanted it himself, someone else would have grabbed his name in the meantime. A couple of years ago, he started "pointing" his (Christmas gift) domain name to his blog - www.iancasey.com.

Every year, I renew his domain name and it's a Christmas present he really appreciates. You can do this for your kids (spouse, yourself) too, for about $10 a year at GoDaddy.
