The Heartbeat of Your Truth
When you still the
mind, you can finally hear the heartbeat of your truth.
This is not the truth
that gets lost in words - but the Truth that is known at your very
core.
Words can be tricky.
They can sound like
the truth when you hear them and look like the truth when you read
them... but you won't really know for sure until you feel them.
If you want to truly
experience Truth, you must open your heart.
When we receive
knowledge through our mind, we may appreciate the concepts without
knowing for sure whether they are true or not. When we open our
heart as well as our mind, we sense the resonance of Truth behind
the words. If it's not there - if it feels flat - most likely it
isn't your truth.
The Truth can be
quite useful, once we learn to recognize it. In fact, we can use it
to guide our path in life... and business.
What if you thought
your business was supposed to be centered around - let's say
"marketing." But deep down you had an inkling that something wasn't
complete about that. Oh, you learned your lessons well enough, and
taught what you could but - one day - you decided to delve deeper to
become aware of the real Truth of the matter.
And felt words
flowing through your pen as if from a deeper well or a wider
Universe... or another soul.
What if this act of
receiving and writing felt so complete and beautiful, it put a huge
question mark around all the other work you thought you were
"supposed" to be doing?
All of a sudden,
you're feeling more like a writer than a marketing coach. Fancy
that... a Gemini feeling like a writer!
So how is an
inspirational writer going to support herself while making a
transition to this new type of work from the old type of work?
For me, it's by
bridging the two.
I haven't lost my
logical abilities yet, or my knack for learning new information and
translating it into language that spiritual entrepreneurs are
comfortable with.
So my transition has
been from "marketing coach" to "tutorial lady" with a dash of
inspirational writer moving up on the inside rail.
As the energies shift
on the planet, many of us are dealing with transitioning from
"denser" work to "lighter" work. But our livelihood still needs to
be in the realm of problem-solving and helping others with their own
transitions - here where the dollar is still the medium of exchange.
I might mention that
my own transition has taking the better part of a year. I'm pretty
sure the next shift in my work will be quicker than that, however,
now that I've done the hard work of knocking off some of my inner
resistance to the changes.
If you're sensing
something similar happening in your own life - and would like to
speed it along - please take a look at the 3-part teleseminar I'm
co-facilitating with Carna Zacharias-Miller: Soul Guidance for Your
Business.
I spent close to a
year doing "Yes, but..." and "what if?" And hanging back because
of... what? Some fear, some control issues, some resistance I was
having trouble getting past.
That's one of the
reasons I jumped at the chance to work with Carna Zacharias-Miller,
who is an incredibly talented and understanding EFT professional.
She is a genius at helping people release inner resistance, fears
and perceived limitations.
Our 3-part series of
teleclasses "Soul Guidance for Your Business" is subtitled "Clearing
Out Inner Resistance and Moving Into Your Power."
It was time for me to
take a step in a slightly different direction. If it's time for you,
too, please join us on Tuesday September 23 and 30 and October 7 at
8:00 PM Eastern time for three powerful, uplifting telephone classes
that can take your business to a whole new level.
You'll find
more information and the sign-up form here (on Carna's website):

FREE TELECLASS:
Teaching with Teleclasses
Wednesday, Sept 17
- 7:00 PM (EDT)
6:00 PM Central •
5:00 PM Mountain • 4:00 PM Pacific

Do you teach workshops and
classes in your local area?
If so, you might consider broadening
your audience to greater North America... or even the entire world -
with teleclasses.
Teleclasses are conducted via
telephone "bridges" with you and your students in a virtual "room"
together, able to communicate as easily as you can in person.
Generally, you can't see one another, but this makes listening and
learning even easier, with fewer distractions.
You can teach teleclasses from the
comfort of your home or office and your only expense is the long
distance call to the teleconference company's phone number.
You can audio record your classes,
too. Free!
It helps if you already have a
website or blog where people can register for your teleclasses.
You'll need a sign-up form (like the one
on this page) for free teleclasses
or an autoresponder with a sign-up capability. For paid teleclasses,
the process is a bit different. Join the call to get ideas you can
use!
In this free teleclass with
me,
Barbara Casey, you'll learn how to:
(1) Choose a teleclass style
that works best for your content.
(2) Set up a conference call
for teleclasses... and record your class.
(3) Turn one teleclass into (at
least) two additional products.
(4) Price your teleclasses...
and collect payment.
(5) Publicize your teleclasses.
(6) Encourage audience
participation.
(7) And lots more.
Hope you can join us!

The IRS and
Business Use of Your Vehicle
In case you missed it...
starting July 1, 2008, the
Standard Mileage Rate for business use of your vehicle increased
from 50.5 cents per mile to 58.5 cents per mile - an increase of
over 15 percent.
For business owners,
it means a bigger tax deduction when we use our vehicles to travel
to client appointments, business meetings, and the like.
You'll need to keep a
log of your travel, but that's a small price to pay for what you can
legitimately deduct as a business expense.
I got this tip from
Ron Mueller's newsletter (when I bought his e-book, I signed up for
his ezine at the same time). I highly recommend both, by the way.
Here's the link to

ezine.
