~~ REDUCE MARKETING COSTS WITH CO-OP MAIL ~~

Co-op mail is such an easy way to find new customers.
And repeat mailings keep you in their minds all through

Here's how it works:

Q. What is a co-op mailing?

A. A co-operative mailing is a single mailing in one
envelope, with a number of different organizations' and
businesses' mail pieces included in the mailing. It's a
time-honored way to share resources at a reduced fee.

Q. Who does the New Radiance co-op mailing reach?

A. New Radiance has a Florida-wide mailing list of
approximately 2,300 body-mind-spirit practitioners,
spiritual centers, metaphysical bookstores, health food
stores, authors, teachers, speakers and schools --
business and professional members of Florida's holistic,
metaphysical and spiritual community.

For those who wish to reach a regional, rather than
statewide audience, I've separated the list into 5 regions:
North, Central West, Central East, South West and
South East, with mailings scheduled for each region.

Q. How many addresses are in each region?

A. The numbers fluctuate as we add to the mailing list
(or as people move). Here are the current counts:
North - 276; Central West - 784; Central East - 299;
South West - 279; South East - 665.

Q. What does the co-op mailing cost?

A. Your investment in marketing dollars is just 30 cents
per address. This includes postage, the envelope, and
labor to stuff, seal and stamp. In other words, you SAVE
7 cents on postage, you get to market your products and
services to NEW people, and you don't get your fingers
all sticky.

There's also a half-page special. If you can put all your
information on a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 sheet of paper, it's just
18 cents each! Try it for mini-flyers, announcements
and coupons.

Mail to all 2,303 Florida addresses for $690.90. A half-
page to the entire list is just $414.54

Or choose from these 5 regions:

NORTH - 276 recipients
Full page = $82.80 - Half page = $49.68

CENTRAL WEST - 784 recipients
Full page = $235.20 - Half page = $141.12

CENTRAL EAST - 299 recipients
Full page = $89.70 - Half page = $53.82

SOUTH WEST - 279 recipients
Full page = $83.70 - Half page = $50.22

SOUTH EAST - 665 recipients
Full page = $199.50 - Half page = $119.70

Q. Who does a co-op mailing work best for?

A. In this case, because the mailings are regional
rather than local, the businesses and organizations
that could best benefit by joining in are:

-- mail order businesses
(eg: herbs, subscriptions, oils, books)

-- telephone-oriented services
(eg: coaching, phone readings)

-- teachers and schools
(with books, cassettes, courses available by mail)

-- authors and publishers with books to sell

-- sellers of products related to health and wellness

-- artists and gift makers/sellers

-- conferences and expos

-- holistic and metaphysical centers 
(who attract clients from a wider area)

-- network marketing & MLM opportunities

-- business services
(eg: marketing consultants, graphic designers,
web designers, copywriters, insurance)

Remember that all the recipients of your mail pieces
are involved in body-mind-spirit work of one kind or
another or are actively involved in serving this market.
You'll want to offer products and services likely to be
appreciated by this audience.

Q. What mail piece will work best in a co-op mailing?

A. First of all, let's review the functions of different
marketing materials.

Brochures explain; they don't sell. Give them to people
after you've seen them, to remember you by.

Flyers announce and invite. Great for co-op mail.

Newsletters inform, invite, announce and can sell.
Newsletters bring you in front of your prospects and
clients on a regular basis. Use our co-op mail service
to reduce the cost of your newsletter mailings to new
people. 

Sales letters have one purpose only -- to sell your
product or service. You can say a lot on a double-
sided sheet of paper. Great for co-op mail.

New product sheets inform and educate. Use them
to steer people to your store, website or 800 number
for more information. Works well in co-op mail.

Half-page coupons are naturals for co-op mail.
Coupons can be effective for getting leads for
your products and services if your offer is
enticing enough. The word "free" works best,
especially if it is followed by "report," "introductory
class," "consultation," or "sample." Dollars or
percentage savings can also be used as an
inducement to try your products/services.

Because there will be other people's inserts along
with your own, you'll want yours to stand out. You
also want to have a specific purpose for it.

The deadline to get your mail pieces in for the
June 10th mailing is May 31st. Only 8 insertions
(or half-page equivalents) are permitted per catalog
size envelope.

~~ MARKET YOURSELF WITH A FEATURE ARTICLE ~~

Here is an interesting idea to include in your marketing 
plan. I can think of many practitioners who would make
great subjects for a well-written article about them.

Randy Peyser specializes in writing feature articles for
practitioners of the healing arts, as well as for
entrepreneurs. 

Her interviews with best selling authors include: Dr.
Deepak Chopra, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Caroline Myss, Suze
Orman, James Van Praagh, Neale Donald Walsch,
Marianne Williamson, and many more.

As a marketing tool, feature articles can be used
100 times over. They can be sent to countless e-zines,
newspapers, association newsletters and magazines,
as well as be given to all potential clients.

When writing an article, Randy's intention is to
absolutely hook the reader in the first paragraph so
that they feel compelled to read the entire article and
find out who you are and what you do. 

Creating an article takes 7-8 hours, which includes a
taped interview by speakerphone, tape transcription,
article creation, and finishing touches. She charges
$75/hour and has a reputation for working very quickly.

In addition to feature articles (Randy's have appeared
in magazines all over this country, as well as in Europe
and Australia), Randy edits manuscripts and book proposals,
and writes press materials and web site text. She also
helps authors find publishers.

MONEY FAST! - BY CAROLE DORE
(Book Review) ~~

If you want to experience a book infused with higher
energies, I highly recommend Carole Dore's "The
Emergency Handbook for Getting Money Fast!" In
her beautifully bound and illustrated handbook, Carole
Dore teaches the fundamentals of attracting money
from the inside out, rather than from the outside in.

Dore covers just about every aspect of our relationship
with money, including our feelings about money, the
source of all money, and the kinds of thoughts and
actions that push money away or attract money in.

This is a very spiritual book and at the same time a
very practical one, with visualizations for connecting
with your Higher Self and for finding your perfect work.
You will feel your energy expanding while reading this
