What is Spiritual Marketing?
by Barbara Casey
"Spiritual Marketing" has been
practiced by body-mind-spirit businesses for many years, but the term has
recently made its way into popular marketing jargon. The reason? More and more
mainstream marketers are discovering that it works!
What does "Spiritual Marketing" really
mean?
(1) One aspect of spiritual marketing describes a blending of physical and non-physical methods used to raise the
vibratory energy of your marketing message. The aim is to attract just the right
clients for your business or practice, in the right numbers, at the right time.
You consciously practice the Universal Law of Attraction to accomplish this.
While "the Universe handles the
details" of bringing you your perfect clients, you still have to do the
work of creating your unique message and marketing materials on the physical
plane. We're demonstrating the principle of co-operation between ourselves and
Spirit, and there are some aspects of the process that require thought and work
on our part.
(2) Joe Vitale, marketing author and copywriter,
coined the phrase "Spiritual Marketing" for his book of the same name in which
he outlines a five-step method for achieving your dreams, including bringing in
as many new clients as your business can handle. Joe combines time-honored
practices of spiritual self-discovery with proven marketing principles into an
extraordinary how-to manual for happy living both in and out of business. Joe's book
"The Attractor Factor" takes Spiritual Marketing to the next level.

Joe has written a number of articles on spiritual
marketing. Here are links to two of my favorite Joe Vitale articles:

Inspired Action.
(3) The idea of "giving before receiving"
is part of the spiritual marketing approach, in compliance with the Law of
Compensation. In my case, I specialize in writing and publishing informational
marketing tools that serve a dual purpose: they give prospective clients
important information that they want, and at the same time help them feel
comfortable about my ability to serve their needs.
(4) But what's really "spiritual" about
this marketing approach is that it attempts to put your business in harmony with the
divine design of your life. Running around after a buck doesn't sound like a
life's plan to me. Getting in tune with my inner purpose and making it work to
improve the lives of people around me, does.
Once you get a clearer vision of the divine plan
of your life, and start to follow it in your everyday business dealings, you'll
find that your business decisions become a snap, clients will be attracted to
your sense of "sureness," and you will reap abundant rewards from the
higher energy seeds you have sown.
(5) Raising the vibration of yourself and your
business is another component of true spiritual marketing. If you want your
business to make a difference
in the world, find ways to frequently raise your own vibratory energy, as
individuals and in your groups. You know how -- prayer, meditation, walks in
nature, music, inspirational writings -- whatever works.
Your clients will get an energy boost too. They might
not know why, but they'll feel lighter, happier and more at ease. They will want
to be around you, because it feels so good to be there. If you practice this
diligently, you'll fill your appointment schedule in no time.
People with higher thoughts and vibrations stimulate others to higher thoughts.
That's how we evolve business consciousness. It starts with you. But it goes on forever.
(6) Working more closely with Spirit in all our
business endeavors is a key element of spiritual marketing. I seem to have a
"Spirit Business Coach" who gives me good ideas, often when I'm in the
middle of a client consultation. An idea will flash in and my client and I will
get the "shivers," knowing this is an idea arriving from the higher realms. And
these ideas just feel so powerful and right.
Sometimes I receive business ideas in the
stillness during meditation, after coaxing my conscious mind to relax and become
the channel for higher wisdom to come through. The beauty is... each of us can
learn to do this. If you'd like to develop your own intuitive abilities and
inner wisdom, here are some resources to try:
