POETRY:
The fabric of life
Is woven by my own hands
On a loom as big as the world.
A whirlpool of
brilliance -
The Light seeks to enter in
My open heart and mind
But shadows within
Know not where to hide
And so resist
This intrusion of bliss.
Immortal,
Impartial,
Imbued with Light
We come to earth
To learn the trick of loving
Firsthand.
Soft as the touch
of a feather
Strong as a backbone of steel
The presence of Spirit within me
Is proof that my life here is real.
I came to this
earth for a reason
And now that I've figured it out
I'd rather be writing with Spirit
Than flitting and gadding about.
I've made a decree,
and I mean it -
To master my subconscious mind
To learn in the higher dimensions
And bring back to earth what I find.
My mind stills.
Silent thoughts float
Into the corner of my consciousness.
A light glows from above
Chasing shadows from sight,
Revealing a richness of contemplations.
I ask for the one
That is needed today.
A shaft of light,
Brighter than others
Shoots straight for my heart
And I am one with the Light
Just now.
Floating above darkness,
Embraced by blissful peace
And serenity
Seeing through new eyes
My Path in bright illumination
And I know, at last,
That I am ready.

ARTICLES:
The Cobra of Truth
The unbridled meanderings of a footloose wordsmith occasionally stumble
upon the Truth.
At the damnedest times, Truth will rear up, like a cobra ready to
strike.
Most of us run when faced head-on with the stinging barb of Truth.
Unaccustomed as we are to experiencing Truth, it feels like the enemy.
What happens, then, when we look this Cobra of Truth in the eye?
If we're smart, we love it.
If we're brave, we embrace it.
If we're wise, we own it.
At all costs, we must acknowledge the presence of Truth. Try as we might
to avoid it, work around it, or ignore it, once we recognize it, there
it sits - that silent challenge to our status quo.
Living "with" the Truth is a little like sleeping with the enemy. You
know it's there, but it's not you.
"Living" the Truth means you become that cobra, embodying the truth you
see.
Truth comes from love. Love comes from the Infinite. The Truths of the
Universe are inviolate. Your personal truths are based on Universal
Truths.
Living your Truth brings you into harmony with All That Is, so that your
light may shine more brightly and the way be seen more clearly.
This is all that has ever been asked of us.
That we see the Way.
And show the Way.
And be the Way.
The Way and the Truth. I am, you are, we are all of that.
And so it is.

How Does Your Garden Grow?
Air, fire, water, earth are the
elements needed for gardening. The air blows the seeds into the
earth to be nourished by water and sunfire. Shoots struggle forth to
claim their birthright under the sun and the strong survive until
harvest.
Ideas born in the ethers take root in
our minds. Sparks from the flame of love feed the life force that
propels the thoughts to action. Actions breed more thoughts and on
it goes.
The sparkling workers of Light help
create from Light ideas, Light actions. It is easy to do this when
you are close to the flame. Much harder is it to carry the memory of
the flame out to shower the shoots in their gardens.
Many sparks together create a new
flame and so the fuel of life draws closer to the garden itself.
But shoots don't walk, and so the
sparks of Light must glow and glow to hasten to maturity the tender
growth. Outward to the garden and inward to the flame, the dance of
Light unfolds and enfolds -- as the sprouts unfold their leaves and
soon enfold their seeds, as ideas unfold to action and germinate the
future plans, as the members of Life Expressing unfold to their
glorious presence and offer safe harbor to those coming forth.
The sprouts need the sparks of Light
as much as the sparks need each other. Carriers of Light must return
to the flame to regenerate and recharge. But in the end, the harvest
still takes place in the garden.

The Dharma of Good Business
A group I once belonged to had an
interesting discussion on "Dharma." I couldn't believe how many different
dictionary definitions we all came up with. I, myself, checked three sources looking for guidance on a word
whose meaning I didn't yet understand.
In a nutshell, I discovered that "dharma" represents the
principles on which the universe functions -- the natural
laws that govern all of life, including yours and mine.
Dharma was also defined as "right behavior," as
outlined in religious or moral paths such as Buddhism
and Hinduism.
It stands to reason that "right behavior" must ultimately
follow the Universal Laws of life. Even the antics of our
own free will cannot alter natural law.
In business, for example, the dishonest marketer has
to work twice as hard because he literally repels repeat
customers. The Law of Cause and Effect sees to that.
The business owner who feels strongly about the
worth of his products and who desires to serve to the
highest of his capability - and can communicate this -
will attract customers who are likely to remain loyal
over time. His higher-placed intentions are more likely
to bring to him a higher quality of clients, according to
the Law of Attraction.
The Law of Correspondence is the one that describes
best how individual and cosmic dharma work. Each
component within a system retains its own characteristics
and also takes on the characteristics of the system as a
total sum of its parts, says the Law.
Each one of us has our own "beingness" or essence, which determines our consciousness. Our personal consciousness determines the nature of our dealings
with customers, and the development of our business
success. But we are each also connected with
everything that exists. Physics has proved this by now,
surely. So, what occurs elsewhere affects us... and what we do affects everything else.
Knowing that everything you do affects everything else
in the universe, how would you choose to conduct your
business? What additional level of responsibility does this
place on you to: (a) make sure your products are the
highest quality; (b) provide consistently impeccable
service; (c) reach all the people who need you?
If each of us were to make a conscious choice to enrich
the world with every business transaction, imagine the
positive effect this would have - not only on our customers -
but on all of creation.
Millions of us have agreed (at some level) to do just this -
to enrich the world. And our business is the vehicle
through which we've chosen to reach people. It behooves
us, then, to become as knowledgeable as we can about
marketing - about effectively communicating with the people we desire to help.
There are many high quality tools from which to learn good
marketing principles and ideas. I have assembled over 100 pages of them on this
website.
I figure we're all on Team Universe. As we become more
familiar with the rules of the game, our lives and work
become more meaningful and enjoyable. And our "right
behavior" -- getting in step with our dharma -- puts us on
the scoreboards of both Profit and Enlightenment.
Go Team!
